Join us as regional artists bring the vibrant colors of nature alive at our second annual Plein Air Paint Out! Visitors immerse themselves in the creative process as artists capture the essence of our diverse landscapes, from lush gardens to panoramic ocean views.

Calling all artists! For the first time, the VBG Paint Out is an open artist call. Join us and paint your favorite flowers, plants and garden vistas al fresco. Open to all artists. Bring your paints, easel, and anything else you need. RSVP information coming soon.

The gardens are open to visitors both days, come enjoy the natural beauty and creativity in the air.

  • Friday, April 4 - Admission is free.
  • Saturday, April 5 - Admission is free for VBG members and children 18 and under. Admission is $7 for non-members and non-member artists.

In case of rain, alternate Paint Out dates will be April 25 & 26.

Plein Air Artist Gallery Show

Attend the Plein Air Artist Gallery Show at the Welcome Center to meet the artists. Gallery artwork will be available for sale on a first come, first serve basis. Last year, several artists sold out, so if you want to be sure and get that special piece of art, come early.
